Dominique (Dom) obtained his PhD in 2002 at Monash University where he studied gases of atmospheric and astrophysical interests using various techniques such as Corona Excited Supersonic Expansion, InfraRed Laser Powered Pyrolysis, and Enclosive Flow Cooling. He then completed a 2-year postdoc at the University of Waterloo in Canada where he investigated metal halides generated in a furnace discharge system.
Dom then joined the Canadian Light Source in 2004 where he was responsible for commissioning the high-resolution far-IR beamline before joining the Australian Synchrotron.
Dom's research interests are the study of gases of atmospheric and astrophysical interests using high-resolution FT absorption spectroscopy; he also has a keen interest in scientific instrumentation, and the generation of long wave coherent synchrotron radiation.
