This beamline is dedicated to the study of microscopic samples with a wavelength-dependent spatial resolution of between 3 and 8 microns. The beamline is equipped with a Bruker Hyperion 2000 microscope with Vertex V80v FTIR spectrometer.

The following modes of data collection are available with the microscope.

• Transmission
• Reflectance
• Grazing Incidence
• Micro Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR)

In each of the above modes, a motorised stage allows the point-by-point collection of spatially resolved “spectral maps”.
