The x-ray fluorescence microscopy beamline offers a range of x-ray fluorescence techniques at micron and submicron length scales using the KB mirror microprobe and zone-plate nanoprobe respectively.  The energy range enables K-shell spectroscopy of elements from scandium to silver.

  • SXFM        - Scanning x-ray fluorescence microscopy
  • XRF-μCT    - X-ray fluorescence micro-computed tomography
  • XANES      - X-ray absorption near-edge structure - single point (Vortex) and
mapping mode (Maia) for oxidation-state fingerprinting.
  • DPC          - Differential phase contrast imaging of low-Z ultrastructure
