 Due to construction at the Australian Synchrotron, user and visitor parking has been moved to the North side of the Australian Synchrotron. Construction will continue throughout the year.

User Information

This section is mainly for researchers who are coming to use the Australian Synchrotron’s beamlines and experimental facilities.

Most Australian Synchrotron users publish their results in the open literature. Access for these users is allocated through a peer-reviewed application process, and is free of charge.

Our services are also available on a confidential basis to fee-paying clients. This arrangement will also apply to businesses referred to us through the Victorian Government’s Small Technology Industries Uptake Program.

As well as explaining how to apply for beamtime and prepare for your visit, the User Information section offers information about support services and facilities available to users at the synchrotron, and explains what merit-access users are required to do after their visits.
