Important Notes

• Our tour involves a walk around the perimeter of the synchrotron. Visitors are advised that there are no opportunities to rest during the walk. There is no seating available during the tour.
• Education Tours are approx 1 hour in duration.
• Tour groups must not exceed 26 persons and must contain at least 10 persons. Lab sessions may not exceed 21 persons. We recommend 15-20 persons per group.
• Small groups may be combined. For this reason, the number of students on the day cannot exceed the number on the form.
• Bookings should be made at least 3 weeks in advance.
• The Australian Synchrotron is a research facility. While we welcome the opportunity to share our passion for science, the research activities of the facility take priority. Should we have to cancel a tour, we will let you know as soon as possible.
• Due to works being undertaken in 2011 access to the technical floor may not be available. At those times the tour will be restricted to the mezzanine platform only.
