The Powder Diffraction (PD) beamline at the Australian Synchrotron is hosting a powder diffraction data analysis workshop aimed at PhD students and early career researchers. The workshop seeks to provide current and potential users of the powder diffraction beamline with advice on preparing for synchrotron beamtime, understanding the information contained within PD data, and an overview of data analysis software, including hands-on use of selected software packages. It is intended that the workshop will be part tutorial and part practical, and participants are therefore encouraged to bring a Windows-based laptop.

The workshop will be held at the Australian Synchrotron, 800 Blackburn Rd, Clayton, Victoria.

18-19 January 2010

Workshop tutorials will be presented by Brendan Kennedy (Uni. of Sydney), Ian Madsen (CSIRO) and Michael James (ANSTO). The program is available here.
